SUNDAY TALKING...11-24-2024
Our Thanksgiving celebration will be held this year at my home. Everyone has an assignment and will bring the food. All but three of the grandchildren will be able to attend. One will be working so his girlfriend won't come, one is now living with granddaughter-in-law in New York, and One is flying to Louisiana to be with her boyfriend.
I have worked to get the house ready. My housekeeper cannot come next week because she is celebrating with her own family. There is no doubt that a domestic person does not live in me. My sister, who is also getting ready for her family, told me to forget it because everyone will be so busy eating the won't notice if my house is clean or not. Good idea. A call was immediately put in to my friend Frank and a decision was made for both of us. Let's forget work and take the day off.
We went to town. Did a little shopping. Had a wonderful meal at a new Mexican restaurant. Then we spent 2 and 1/2 hours in the theater watching GLADIATOR 2.

They had gathered MUSHROOMs

The neighbors they visited
Were all from other COUNTRIES.
The old man had knowledge
And did not need a hint
To remember the messages
Without them being in PRINT.
The visits had been welcomed
As he spread gossip happily.
A ROLL in the DUST for the goat
Then they returned to WARM FAMILY.

SUNDAY TALKING...11-17-2024
This November has been great so far. It has brought me lots of family visitors. We are all busy making the plans for Thanksgiving that will be held at my home this time. Everyone has an assignment and mine is to provide a pie and deviled eggs. My precious daughter has taken charge.
November's full moon is called the Beaver Moon, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. The name was chosen because this is the time of year when beavers start sheltering in their lodges after having prepared food stores for the winter. This full moon reached its peak on Friday, Nov. 15. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Rudolph the red nosed Reindeer opened his parachute and landed in the surf. The rest of the crew unhooked their harnesses and smashed on top of Rudolph. They landed unhurt but appearing like a totem pole. Santa and his sleigh telescoped into the pearl opal green ocean. The fiery jets trailed behind and lit up the sky. Santa's ruins were black as clay and his head was severed. The children finally gave up watching out their windows. They never knew Rudolph and the surviving reindeer completed the delivery of presents that year.
